Quick answer
Eligible incorporated Boca Raton single-family City sanitation customers receive weekly curbside bulk collection, normally up to two cubic yards. A separate optional paid special pickup starts at $161.71 for up to two cubic yards, plus $35.66 per additional cubic yard.
Do not confuse normal eligible weekly service with the separate charged special collection. Keep vegetation and bulk separate, and verify the property is within the City sanitation service area.
Who qualifies
First check the actual street address is within Boca Raton city sanitation jurisdiction. “Boca Raton, FL” mailing addresses can be unincorporated county properties served by another provider, with different rules.
Furniture, mattresses and appliances
Typical accepted items include furniture, mattresses, bicycles and certain appliances. Remove refrigerator doors where required and ask Sanitation about refrigerant handling. Keep bulk separated from vegetation so collection crews can handle each stream.
Before setting anything out
Use the assigned City weekly day, keep the pile within two cubic yards and put objects clear of carts and utilities. City instructions call for at least five feet of space from relevant obstructions. Request a separate special collection, potentially paid, when the volume is too large or timing unsuitable.
What not to put in the bulky pile
Contractor-generated remodeling debris and dangerous household chemicals are not ordinary residential bulk. Avoid using Palm Beach County SWA rules in place of incorporated-city regulations.
Where to take other large items
For its optional Pay for Pickup service (including out-of-cycle collection), the City currently posts $161.71 minimum for up to two cubic yards, plus $35.66 per additional cubic yard. This paid service is distinct from the normal weekly collection for eligible City single-family customers. Confirm rates with Sanitation before paying.
