Marco Island: weekly furniture pickup, specialty booking
Marco Island directs residents to Collier County solid-waste collection. Ordinary eligible furniture goes out on the address’s recycling collection day; specialty appliances require a call.
Quick answer
For eligible Collier County-served Marco Island households, bulky furniture and bicycles are collected once a week on recycling day. The County says standard bulky pieces should not exceed four feet and/or 50 pounds. For appliances, electronics, tires and batteries, call 239-252-2380 at least 48 hours in advance to schedule specialty collection. Confirm the exact route for your address.
What to do
- Step 1. Check your collection day with Collier County’s address lookup. Condo, commercial and shared-container customers may have different service arrangements.
- Step 2. For a qualifying ordinary chair, small table or other bulky piece, use the permitted curbside location on the regular recycling day; verify heavier/larger items before set-out.
- Step 3. For appliances, electronics, tires and batteries, call Collier County Public Utilities at 239-252-2380 at least 48 hours ahead and obtain the pickup details.
- Step 4. If self-hauling, verify access and the current charges at the Marco Island Drop-Off Center, 990 Chalmer Drive, open Monday–Saturday 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. excluding holidays.
What about my item?
County says these are collected weekly on recycling day within the published four-foot/50-pound rule.
Specialty pickup with 48-hour notice; remove refrigerator doors and contents to protect children.
Specialty items require a call. Remove electronic batteries for proper separately managed drop-off.
Ask before set-out: mattress preparation and pieces exceeding the standard bulk guidance are not established by the basic furniture rule.
Fees, dates and eligibility
The County’s current fiscal 2026–27 drop-off price list shows $15 for up to one cubic yard of household bulk at eligible recycling centres, including Marco Island, but the North Collier centre is excluded. This is a self-haul rate, not a curbside pickup price. Verify acceptance and fees for the actual load.
Before setting items outside
