Pompano Beach, FL: bulky pickup & disposal rules

Eligible single-family, duplex and triplex households: weekly bulky collection up to 4 cubic yards, with two additional scheduled collections up to 16 cubic yards each per year.

1

Quick answer

Pompano Beach offers weekly residential bulk waste collection for eligible single-family, duplex and triplex addresses, generally up to four cubic yards. Residents should first find the address’s bulk day; it is not automatically the recycling day.

Important before pickup:Confirm the current item eligibility, booking cutoff and service address with the City or contractor. Charges may change.
2

Who qualifies

The City describes this curbside route for specific low-density residential services. Condo and large apartment communities can have contracts different from the City’s single-family bulk route.

3

Furniture, mattresses and appliances

Furniture, mattresses, approved appliances and some separated vegetation can qualify subject to City material rules. The City also allows up to two additional pre-booked collections per year, up to 16 cubic yards each, for vegetative debris and household waste. Construction debris is excluded. The extra collection must be arranged before setting materials at the curb.

4

Before setting anything out

Have the weekly pile out by 7 a.m. on the assigned day, no earlier than 5 p.m. the evening before. Set materials near the curb while providing required clearances from the roadway, sidewalks, cars, meters and hydrants; the City gives dimensional rules for the location.

5

What not to put in the bulky pile

Do not include hazardous waste, vehicle parts, construction/demolition rubbish or roots/large stumps as ordinary household bulk. Do not conflate weekly four-yard service and the separate larger appointment entitlement.

6

Where to take other large items

The City describes a resident self-haul option at the 1840 NW 33rd Street facility, subject to identification, vehicle type and posted operating rules. Confirm site hours before a trip.
