Baytown bulky pickup: one or two large items per collection day
The City of Baytown links directly to its hauler Best Trash’s current heavy-trash guide. Eligible accounts can place a small number of bulky items on their normal service day.
Quick answer
For eligible Baytown addresses receiving City-contracted Best Trash service, the hauler says heavy items are picked up on each service day, with a limit of one or two large pieces. A mattress and box spring count as two. City trash collections are normally twice weekly. Verify your address and any special setout needs with Baytown Public Works at 281-420-5300.
What to do before setting it out
- Step 1. Confirm that your exact property receives the City of Baytown Best Trash residential contract; a Baytown postal address alone is insufficient.
- Step 2. Check whether your regular trash days are Monday/Thursday or Tuesday/Friday using the City pickup map. Set materials by 7 a.m. on the proper collection day.
- Step 3. Limit the bulky setout to one or two qualifying pieces, keeping safe access for the crew. For a mattress plus box spring, both slots are used.
- Step 4. Ask about furniture with ceramic/tile, exceptional sizes, refrigerator preparation, or a larger cleanout before setout. Best Trash offers separate large-load quotes.
What about my items?
Best Trash accepts large furniture items within the 1–2-piece limit; it excludes furniture containing tile or ceramic material.
Both accepted, but each is an individual item. A pair uses the full two-item allowance for that service day.
Best Trash requires refrigerant to be professionally removed and a supporting service receipt attached. Never vent refrigerant yourself.
Construction debris, paint and chemicals, tires and batteries are outside the normal bulky collection list.
Fees, limits and important exceptions
The Best Trash guide describes normal scheduled heavy pickup but does not establish an extra-fee-free guarantee for every Baytown account type. Confirm account eligibility and special-load charges with Baytown at 281-420-5300 or Best Trash at 281-313-2378.
Service boundaries, apartment arrangements and holiday changes can affect a household. Do not put an item at the curb before verifying its eligibility if it is outside the ordinary listed categories.
Useful next step
If the item is excluded, ask your provider for an authorized drop-off, donation or paid collection route. Do not leave bulky items in front of a recycling depot without permission.
