Corpus Christi trash & bulky-item rules
Corpus Christi collects heavy brush and bulky items on a published section rotation. Find the current dates for your address, use only the authorized set-out window, and keep brush separate from household bulky material.

Quick answer
Corpus Christi uses a neighborhood/section schedule rather than on-demand weekly bulk. Check the official schedule for the address and place material only during the authorized set-out period.
Brush and bulky material must be separated. The current bulky pile maximum is six feet high, ten feet long and six feet deep, with one truckload included for each scheduled collection.
Collection starts the day after the section’s last authorized set-out date and continues until that section is finished. Put material at the normal collection location, clear of streets, gutters, sidewalks and drainage ditches; do not use an arterial-street side yard.
Furniture, mattresses and household bulky material
Bulky examples include furniture, mattresses, carpet and household appliances. Keep the pile within the stated dimensions and accessible to collection equipment.
One truckload is included. Each additional truckload costs $82.63 plus tax under the current published program.
Appliances, electronics, tires and hazardous items
The program currently accepts up to four tires measuring 20 inches or smaller. Household hazardous waste and certain other special materials are excluded.
Keep paint, batteries and chemicals out of the bulky pile and use the City’s special-waste disposal guidance. The checked bulky page does not establish a blanket electronics acceptance rule or a refrigerator refrigerant-preparation rule; confirm those items with 311.
Renovation debris and larger cleanouts
Construction and demolition material is not part of the normal brush/bulky route. Concrete, contractor debris and similar material need another disposal method.
Improper set-out or oversized piles can lead to fees or enforcement, so the section schedule and pile dimensions are worth checking before a cleanup.
Local drop-off options and fees
Confirm the Corpus Christi pickup date, item limits and preparation rules before setting anything out.
J.C. Elliott Transfer Station is at Highway 286 and Ayers Street, open Monday–Saturday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Bring a valid driver’s license with a Corpus Christi address. Cover the load; an uncovered load can incur a $15 charge.
The City lists household appliances, furniture, brush and noncommercial construction debris among J.C. Elliott materials, but not rock, concrete or brick. General disposal and tire fees differ by load or material; check before traveling.
Household hazardous waste from City residents is free at J.C. Elliott during operating hours. Containers are limited to one gallon each; paint is limited to five one-gallon cans. Business hazardous waste is excluded. Call 311 or 361-826-2489 for item questions.
