Quick answer

Laredo’s bulky program is for residents who pay the City residential garbage fee. Call or use the current Solid Waste contact to schedule rather than setting large items out without a pickup.

Current City FAQ/material says each household receives two free collections per year, with up to four bulky items on a free trip. Additional items/pickups are charged under the City’s published fee structure.

For additional bulky items, the City lists $15 for the first, $10 for the second and $5 for each additional item. Call 956-796-1098 to arrange the collection and confirm the total.

02

Furniture, mattresses and household bulky material

Accepted examples include furniture, mattresses, box springs, carpet, swing sets, pools, toys, bicycles and certain appliances.

Place the material where the truck can reach it from the street and maintain the City’s clearance from poles, cars and other obstacles. Crews do not enter private property to retrieve items.

03

Appliances, electronics, tires and hazardous items

Electronics, batteries, vehicle parts and household hazardous liquids are excluded from the ordinary bulky list. Use the City’s special-waste route for those materials.

Do not include titled vehicles/boats or other regulated items in a residential bulky pile.

Tires are not ordinary curbside bulk. Residents may drop off up to four passenger tires per day free at the landfill with matching photo ID and City utility proof.

04

Renovation debris and larger cleanouts

Construction material is excluded from the free household bulky allowance, but Laredo also offers separate paid C&D collection: $55 for up to five cubic yards, plus $11 per additional cubic yard. Arrange the service and describe the material first.

If a pile mixes eligible furniture with prohibited debris, the entire service can become more complicated, so separate it before scheduling.

The City directs household paint, batteries, computers and other HHW to its special-waste/landfill guidance. Call 311 or Solid Waste Services before delivering an unusual material; business loads and large/commercial tires have separate charges.
