1

Quick answer

Sugar Land collects bulky waste monthly on an address-assigned Monday, with a five-cubic-yard normal limit. Put it out after 6 p.m. the previous day and by 7 a.m. on pickup day.

Important before pickup:Confirm the current item eligibility, booking cutoff and service address with the City or contractor. Charges may change.
2

Who qualifies

The monthly route applies to eligible municipal residential solid-waste service. Look up the collection Monday for the specific address in the City’s service/schedule information; do not tell every Sugar Land household to use the same Monday.

3

Furniture, mattresses and appliances

Household furniture and approved large items can use the bulky route within the City’s volume limit. Refrigerators and other refrigerant-containing appliances must have Freon removed before collection. Confirm preparation and acceptance with Republic Services before leaving an appliance out.

4

Before setting anything out

Set out material no earlier than 6 p.m. on the preceding day and no later than 7 a.m. on the scheduled service morning. Keep the bulk at least four feet from vehicles, carts, trees, poles and other objects. Do not obstruct pedestrian paths.

5

What not to put in the bulky pile

Household hazardous waste, electronics, loose building/remodeling debris and other excluded materials should not be mixed into a municipal bulk pile. Extra quantity may incur a separate charge.

6

Where to take other large items

The City lists a resident-eligible monthly landfill drop-off option at Blue Ridge Landfill in Fresno, Texas; check identification/water-bill and site rules before travel. Republic provides over-limit pricing.
