Riverton bulk disposal: two $10 landfill vouchers annually
Riverton’s April 2026 free Spring Clean Days have ended. The City currently offers two $10 Trans-Jordan Landfill vouchers per household each year for residents who can deliver an accepted load.
Quick answer
Riverton City offers up to two $10 landfill vouchers per household per year. Pick up passes at the City Hall utility billing window, 12830 S Redwood Road, then confirm disposal conditions with Trans-Jordan before hauling a sofa, mattress or appliance. These are dollar credits toward eligible disposal, not two guaranteed free bulky curbside pickups.
How to arrange disposal
- Step 1. Check that you are a Riverton resident; the voucher program is not established for nearby mailing addresses outside Riverton City.
- Step 2. Ask for the landfill vouchers at the Utility Billing window in Riverton City Hall, 12830 S Redwood Road. The City limits the program to two annually per household.
- Step 3. Ask Trans-Jordan which furniture, mattresses and appliances are currently accepted and whether they trigger separate fees. One $10 credit does not guarantee that every load is fully covered.
- Step 4. Deliver an eligible load to Trans-Jordan Landfill, 10473 S Bacchus Highway in South Jordan, or check the alternative transfer station at 8813 S 700 W in Sandy.
What about my item?
Confirm acceptance and current load fees with Trans-Jordan before transporting; vouchers reduce eligible disposal costs.
The April 2026 community clean-up dumpster event explicitly excluded these. Check landfill-specific restrictions separately; do not assume the event rule is the landfill rule.
The past Riverton Spring Clean event excluded appliances. Confirm an appropriate landfill/recycling route for white goods and refrigerant-containing items.
The City’s ordinary cleanup event excludes hazardous goods and electronics. Use a separately designated receiving program.
Fees and important limits
The $10 voucher is a landfill credit, not a $10 fixed disposal fee, and the City’s spring neighborhood dumpsters were temporary April 11 and 18 events that are now finished.
Before you set anything out
Check property eligibility and accepted material with the official provider. Do not leave large items at the curb or at a receiving site without authorization.
