Who qualifies matters. Eligible residential customers; advance request required.
Furniture, mattresses and appliances
Furniture, mattresses and other listed oversized household goods can use the bulky route. Items outside the program's accepted list need another disposal option.
Household hazardous waste and other special material
Ontario operates a household hazardous waste facility at 1430 South Cucamonga Avenue with published Friday and Saturday service hours. Chemicals and other hazardous products belong there rather than in a bulky set-out.
Where to take large items in Ontario
Confirm the Ontario pickup date, item limits and preparation rules before setting anything out.
Before set-out
Arrange the bulky pickup at least as far in advance as the City requires and wait for the scheduled date before set-out. Use the HHW facility for paint, pesticides and other household chemicals.
- Confirm the service address and the agency or hauler responsible for it.
- Check whether the bulky route requires an appointment, assigned week, sticker, fee or volume limit.
