Quick answer
San Bernardino’s Keep SB Clean program uses Burrtec for residential bulky pickup. Residents schedule in advance and then place up to five accepted items for the booked collection.
The City asks for at least one week of lead time, so do not wait until the night before trash day to request a couch pickup.
Call Burrtec at 909-804-4222 at least one week ahead and list all items. Confirm the City service address: Burrtec’s neighboring-city/county programs can have different annual allowances.
Furniture, mattresses and household bulky material
Accepted examples include furniture, mattresses, scrap metal, wood and several large household items.
Keep the item count at five or fewer for the free appointment and follow Burrtec’s set-out location instruction.
Appliances, electronics, tires and hazardous items
The City’s current list includes appliances, televisions/monitors, refrigerators/freezers and up to two tires, subject to preparation requirements.
Household hazardous waste still uses a separate program; do not include chemicals or liquids unless specifically authorized.
Renovation debris and larger cleanouts
Concrete, rock, dirt and construction/demolition material are not accepted as normal free bulky pickup.
Use an approved debris facility or hauler for remodeling waste.
Local drop-off options and fees
Confirm the San Bernardino pickup date, item limits and preparation rules before setting anything out.
The household hazardous-waste facility is at 2824 East “W” Street, Building 302, at the airport, Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. San Bernardino County residents can use the household program free; business waste uses separate arrangements. The City lists household chemicals, paint, e-waste and properly contained sharps.
Limit a trip to fifteen gallons or 125 pounds, using containers no larger than five gallons. Keep original contents identified and secure containers for transport. Call 909-382-5401 or 800-645-9228 about unusual material, holiday access or residency proof. Community dump days have their own event limits and do not expand the curb pickup’s two-tire allowance.
Before set-out
