01

Quick answer

Hialeah’s monthly route collects both bulky household material and yard waste, but the pile still has placement and material rules. Use the City’s schedule for the address and keep collection access clear.

Put the monthly pile at the front of the property that generated it the night before collection, ready by 6 a.m., with at least five feet of clearance from collection obstructions.

02

Furniture, mattresses and household bulky material

Accepted bulky examples include couches, chairs, mattresses, tables, carpet and household appliances. Televisions are also listed.

Place the material only during the proper monthly set-out window rather than leaving furniture curbside for an extended period.

Roll and tie carpet before set-out. TVs and household appliances appear on the City’s accepted list; ask the City about an unusual appliance’s preparation.

03

Appliances, electronics, tires and hazardous items

Paint, tanks, batteries, vehicle parts and tires are not normal bulky material. Use the City or Miami-Dade special-waste route that applies to those items.

If an appliance or electronic has a special preparation requirement, confirm it before collection day.

04

Renovation debris and larger cleanouts

The monthly program excludes general construction/demolition debris, concrete, gypsum, soil, rocks, lumber and fences. Its accepted list separately includes bathtubs, toilets and kitchen cabinets; those named exceptions do not authorize a mixed construction load.

Use an authorized debris service or disposal facility for those materials.
