Quick answer
Residential bulk waste is collected twice per month, with a 10-cubic-yard limit per residential unit per pickup.
Before you use the rule: Residential solid-waste customers; confirm the address schedule before set-out.
Furniture, mattresses and appliances
Bulk and yard waste is collected twice monthly and is limited to 10 cubic yards per residential unit per pickup. Residents can request up to two conforming over-limit pickups per calendar year; after those allowances, the City publishes a $15-per-cubic-yard overage charge. Set material out before 7 a.m. on the assigned bulk day.
Household hazardous waste and other special material
Refrigerant-containing appliances (the City source uses “Freon”) are collected only when a sticker and tag confirm that a certified technician removed the refrigerant. Refrigerators must also have all doors and the compressor removed before set-out. Contractor-generated debris, hazardous waste and overweight/oversized material are not ordinary bulk.
