Quick answer

Port St. Lucie provides scheduled monthly bulk-waste collection. The normal no-extra-charge allowance is 2 cubic yards, with larger amounts subject to the City's published extra-volume charge.

Who qualifies matters. City residential solid-waste customers; service date depends on the address.

02

Furniture, mattresses and appliances

Furniture and other ordinary household bulky material can use the bulk route when prepared within the City's limits. Keep the pile at least 3 feet from carts, mailboxes, vehicles and other obstructions so the collection equipment can reach it.

03

Household hazardous waste and other special material

Household hazardous waste does not belong in the bulk pile. The City points residents to the St. Lucie County Baling and Recycling Facility at 6120 Glades Cut-Off Road and also holds City HHW collection events.

Before set-out

Check the address-specific collection schedule before setting material out. The City's former household drop-off center closed in January 2026, so older directions to that location should not be used.

  1. Confirm the service address and the agency or hauler responsible for it.
  2. Check whether the bulky route requires an appointment, assigned week, sticker, fee or volume limit.
