Quick answer

Shreveport collects residential bulk waste by appointment; the City’s 15 ft × 6 ft × 6 ft pile limit applies to tree and shrubbery trimmings, not to all household bulky items.

Before you use the rule: City residential solid-waste customers; no bulk pickup from vacant lots or commercial properties.

02

Furniture, mattresses and appliances

Household furniture, appliances and tires can be scheduled for bulk collection by appointment. The City ordinance limits tires to four per appointment. The 15 ft × 6 ft × 6 ft limit is specifically for tree and shrubbery trimmings; it should not be presented as a universal furniture/appliance bulk cap. Building materials and contractor-type debris are excluded.

03

Household hazardous waste and other special material

Holiday weeks can suspend bulk scheduling. Confirm the assigned collection date with Solid Waste before placing heavy items out.
