Quick answer

Tacoma’s Call-2-Haul program is part of residential solid-waste service. Eligible customers can use two included events per year and choose the current curbside or self-haul format that fits the material.

One Call-2-Haul covers up to three large items plus fifteen bags or boxes. Exceeding that uses a double haul and both residential annual allowances. Book curbside or self-haul at 253-573-2468; the self-haul benefit also requires an appointment.

02

Furniture, mattresses and household bulky material

Large household furniture and appliances are among the program’s accepted categories. Yard equipment can also qualify under the current rules.

Have only approved items ready at the front curb by 7 a.m. on the booked day; use the approved location for a multifamily property. Empty gas/oil and remove batteries from eligible yard power equipment. Change or cancel at least one business day before collection.

03

Appliances, electronics, tires and hazardous items

Accepted large examples include mattresses, furniture, refrigerators, freezers and other appliances. TVs, computers/monitors, tires, HHW, construction debris and yard waste are excluded from Call-2-Haul. Fuel-powered riding mowers are not accepted.

Ask Call-2-Haul or the City facility which route applies before transporting special material.

04

Renovation debris and larger cleanouts

Construction debris and lumber are not ordinary cart material and can require a different disposal route.

The included residential benefit applies to qualifying solid-waste accounts. Larger multifamily service has published fees of $115 for a single haul and $230 for a double haul; confirm account eligibility and arrangements with the manager.
