Tulsa trash & bulky-item rules

Quick answer
Tulsa’s bulky program is for material too large for the normal cart, but it is not an unscheduled free pile. Residents request the service in advance and the City says to schedule at least three days before the regular refuse day.
The fee changed October 1, 2026. Current City material lists $20 per eight cubic yards, with each additional eight cubic yards charged another $20. Older pages or search snippets showing $10 are stale for the current date.
Furniture, mattresses and household bulky material
Furniture and other oversized household items can use the bulky route when booked. Place material at the instructed collection point by 5 a.m. and keep the pile accessible.
The City can still charge for a scheduled bulky pickup that does not meet its requirements, so check the accepted list before building the pile.
Appliances, electronics, tires and hazardous items
Tulsa instructs residents to separate electronics, appliances and tires from the rest of a bulky pile because two trucks may be used. Current limits include up to four monitors/televisions, four tires without rims and up to 10 gallons of latex paint.
Household hazardous waste is not ordinary bulky trash; use Tulsa’s current special-waste route for paint, chemicals and similar material.
Renovation debris and larger cleanouts
Small resident-performed remodeling debris can use the bulky route only when separately and securely containerized and limited to one cubic yard total; contractor remodeling or demolition debris is not accepted. The City also excludes items such as batteries, hazardous materials, explosives and loose glass.
For a mixed cleanup, separate ordinary furniture from construction debris before booking. If you need to cancel, the City says to call before noon on the day before the scheduled pickup; otherwise the bulky-waste charge can still be applied.
