Henderson trash & bulky-item rules

Henderson uses Republic Services for residential trash rather than a City collection crew. Bulk service is tied to the address-specific Republic schedule, so residents should look up the property before setting large items out.

Quick answer

The City of Henderson directs residents to Republic Services of Southern Nevada for trash service. The bulk schedule is not a single citywide date; Republic publishes address-based schedules and 2026 bulk calendars.

Before moving a couch or mattress outside, use the service-address lookup or current calendar so you know the correct bulk week for the property. Republic Services’ Southern Nevada customer-service number is (702) 735-5151.

02

Furniture, mattresses and the Southern Nevada bulk set-out rules

Republic Services says Southern Nevada bulk collection runs every other week, with the exact A/B calendar tied to the service address. Bulk items are items that do not fit inside the cart. Use Republic’s address lookup or the current Henderson bulk calendar before putting anything out.

Current Republic set-out guidance says an item must be no more than 6 feet long, loose trash must be contained, wood must not have protruding nails or screws, and soiled mattresses must be wrapped in plastic. Tree branches must be bundled and tied and weigh no more than 50 pounds. Items must be placed curbside; crews do not remove them from private property.

Refrigerators and other Freon-containing items are specifically excluded from ordinary bulk set-out. Republic lists refrigerators at its transfer stations for a charge instead.

03

Appliances, electronics, tires and hazardous items

The Henderson Transfer Station, 560 Cape Horn Drive, is another route for listed materials such as household electronics, ovens, microwaves, televisions and general kitchen appliances. Republic currently lists transfer-station hours as 7 a.m.–3 p.m., seven days a week, for these no-charge listed items. Refrigerators are accepted for a charge.

Paint, chemicals and other hazardous material should be taken only to a program/facility that specifically accepts them.

04

Renovation debris and larger cleanouts

Construction debris may be excluded from normal household bulk service or may require a transfer/landfill charge. Ask Republic or the receiving facility before hauling a remodel load.

Do not treat a transfer-station option as a reason to leave material at the curb outside the scheduled bulk window.
