North Las Vegas trash & bulky-item rules

North Las Vegas does not operate its own residential trash fleet. Republic Services handles most residential collection, including address-based bulk schedules, and the City requires mattresses to be bagged for bulk pickup.

01

Quick answer

The City directs residents to Republic Services or the applicable private provider for garbage and bulk service. Bulk timing depends on the address, so use the current Republic schedule rather than a citywide rule of thumb.

Water/trash billing arrangements can vary by account, but the actual collection rule still comes from the service provider.

02

Furniture, mattresses and household bulky material

Furniture and other accepted bulky household items can use the scheduled Republic route. Mattresses require a bag under the City’s current sanitation rule; North Las Vegas offers free mattress bags at designated City facilities.

Put items out only for the address’s assigned bulk period and follow Republic’s current pile limits.

The regional guide uses every-other-week bulk dates. Keep items no longer than six feet; contain small material, remove protruding nails, and bundle branches at no more than fifty pounds per bundle. Do not leave a pile on private property for curb crews.

03

Appliances, electronics, tires and hazardous items

Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and other Freon-bearing items are prohibited in curb bulk. Republic offers separate paid drop-off for refrigerators/freezers and window air conditioners no larger than 2 feet × 3 feet; call 702-735-5151 for the current fee.

Republic lists free household e-waste/eligible appliance drop-off at 315 West Cheyenne Avenue and 560 Cape Horn Drive in Henderson, seven days a week, 7 a.m.–3 p.m. The refrigerant-appliance fee remains a separate exception.

Household hazardous waste uses the rotating 2026 Wednesday/Saturday calendar, 9 a.m.–1 p.m.; both sites are not open every listed day. The northern HHW entrance is 333 West Gowan Road, Gate B, distinct from the Cheyenne transfer address. Limit loads to forty pounds of dry material or fifteen gallons of liquids by container size, with gasoline limited to five gallons.

04

Renovation debris and larger cleanouts

Construction debris may require transfer/landfill disposal and is not guaranteed under the household bulk program.

If a property uses a private service other than the standard Republic account, confirm that provider’s rules first.
